Introducing! the most complete – “Wide Turn Safety Signs” available.
OUR SIGNS CAN PROTECT YOU AND YOUR INVESTMENT
Our safety signs include more critical information about tractor-trailer turning space requirements that can be lifesaving, as both the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the American Automobile Association Foundation for Traffic Safety, reports that, up to 75 percent of all fatal car-truck crashes begin with an error on the part of the car driver, hence, warning the car driver is critical.
Besides the normal wide turn warning language on most safety warning signs – all our copyrighted signs were specially designed by an OTR truck driver (who is also an engineering consultant) for two additional reasons: “MUST” & “PLEASE OBSERVE TURN SIGNALS”
(1) The word “MUST” – added for the first time to help explain that because of the size and turning radius of the tractor/trailer unit, the driver must make this wide turn in order to complete it safely, and the driver has no choice in this maneuver.
(2) The words “PLEASE OBSERVE TURN SIGNALS” – to remind other vehicles to pay attention to the unit’s turn signals that lets them know that a turn /maneuver is expected and to stay clear.
Why are meeting ANSI standards important? ANSI-style signs most often include specific details about the nature of the hazard and avoidance procedures for increased safety, so that both accidents and lawsuits are minimized, etc. ANSI standards are often cited in U.S. court decisions as the state-of-the-art benchmark against which safety markings are appropriately judged. Our T-60 and T-120 signs meet and exceed specific recommendations.
